Makeup Reviews: Wantable Makeup Collection Review – June 2015

I was asked to try Wantable’s June Makeup Collection and I jumped at the chance, of course.

So how does Wantable work? Choose between accessories, beauty, or intimates (or all of them!). Then fill out a style quiz, which in my opinion is pretty fun. Your answers give the Wantable stylists insight on exactly what to select for you. Each collection is $40 for the first month and $36 for every month after. And every month you’ll receive 3-5 items picked just for you.

Wantable recently added a Fitness Edit and Style Edit, which a little differently. Subscribers pay a $20 monthly styling fee and get 5 items that are great for hitting the gym in per month. You have 5 days to decide which ones you can’t live without. Send back whatever you don’t like; you’re only billed for the pieces you keep.

Now, on to the review … When it comes to skin care, I’m quite savvy. However, the world of makeup is not something that I regularly dabble in. As I clicked through the questions on the quiz, I wondered if I’d even know what to do with the products that arrived in the collection. Happily, each one was easy for me to use and I felt like I was getting quite the deal since the collection is valued at $109.

Au Naturale Organic Creme Highlighter Stick (valued at $32)
I wanted a highlighter to enhance my sun-kissed skin, so that option was a must on my quiz. The shimmery multitasker can swept over the entire face and will probably be the product I use the most this summer.

Frankie Rose Cosmetics Three Shade Blush in Enchant (valued at $35)
I noted that I have an olive complexion on my quiz and this trio of blushes are a perfect compliment for my skin. I like swiping on one shade at a time, though ladies with more makeup mastery than I will love using them for contouring. Also, the compact’s mirror is quite generous, so you can see exactly what you’re doing.

Seta Eyeshadow Brush (valued at $18)
My arsenal of makeup tools needs bolstering, so I noted that in my preferences. The bristles are soft and the color is pretty, so I imagine that I’ll reach for it again and again. Also, my toddler tried to appropriate it for his painting project, so it seems to be a hit with everyone in the family.

Doucce Liquid Deep Eye Liner (valued at $24)
My untrained hands drew on a cat eye that looked as deftly applied as Alexa Chung’s. It stayed on all day and it’s waterproof, in case you want to look extra fancy at the beach.

All in all, these the stylist’s picks were a great match for me.
