Fashion: 3 Favorite Summer Outfits, Starting With The Right Bra

Flowers are blooming, the air is warming up, and the summer fashion magazines have landed. Like all good style-obsessed women, I’ve been spending my evenings tearing through the glossy pages to seek out the new fashions for the season.

While there are many beautiful trends, I think the easiest to pull off are the ones that you can style to fit into your everyday life. Ask yourself, where am I going? What will I be doing? Don’t underestimate the importance of this – every outfit has a time and a place, so plan accordingly.

The first look is Nautical — try to refrain from yawning. I know we see it every year, but this year nautical gets a cool girl upgrade, á la Hilary Duff on the cover of Cosmo. This is the look I’ll be rocking on beach days with a longline bralette and a gingham blouse tied at the waist. What I love about long line silhouettes is they can also serve as a crop top when paired with a high-waist short. It’s equal parts pin-up, good girl, and Americana – I love it!

Look #2 is my go-to for date night. There’s just something about a cream silk button down and smoothing black bra that is impossibly chic – especially when paired with an easy denim cut-off short. I like to dress the look up a bit with some flashy earrings, throw my hair into a bun, and dust some coral toned bronzer on my cheeks. Silk is perfect for cooler summer nights so that you don’t need to worry about sweat ;).

The last outfit is a mix of function and trend — I call this my festival look. While others take the Boho route, I like to stick to camo and comfort, and it’s just my luck that camo is having a moment right now. The most important thing about dressing for a day-to-night concert is warmth. That’s why I like to wear a long sleeve tee that I can push-up during the day, a closed toe shoe so my feet don’t get trashed, and comfy shorts. I wear this with a lightweight breathable bra so that even during the warmest part of the day I’m still cool.

Regardless of my outfit, I always start with the right bra. Wearing the wrong one can ruin even your cutest look. Have a challenging outfit you still haven’t found the right bra for? Hit us up at
