The Best Destinations for a Healthy & Active Spring Break
Post by Wantable Staff
Spring break is coming up, and while the first thing you might think of is sipping poolside umbrella drinks and letting loose, not all spring breaks have to be party-centric. In fact, I’d say we prefer our spring break to be more rejuvenating and laid-back as of late. A fun, healthy and active retreat is the perfect opportunity to take a break from our hectic everyday lives and really take time to focus on some well-deserved self-care. We’ve got a few destination recommendations along with activity ideas for your spring break that will allow you to do just that.
Bring Your Yoga Mat to Bali
That sounds pretty incredible, doesn’t it?! For the ultimate relaxing trip to really restart and refresh your mind, body, and soul, there’s nothing quite like a yoga retreat. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a long-practicing yogi, it’s a great opportunity to take some classes, learn meditation and breathing techniques (that will certainly serve you well once you’re back to reality and the stresses of everyday life) and connect with yourself and nature.
Hit a Ropes Course in Hawaii
For the ultimate adventure seekers, a ropes course in Hawaii is made for you! What is more exciting and awesome than climbing and zip lining through paradise?! It gives you the chance to take in a birds-eye view of your amazing surroundings all while keeping you active. Don’t forget your camera (with a strap to keep it secure) and your water bottle to stay hydrated. And of course, bring along your good vibes only.
Make the Most of Malibu
For the perfect mix of relaxation and staying healthy and active, head to Malibu. You’ve got the coast, the beach and the mountains all in the same vicinity, making for the perfect Spring Break destination! Lay on the beach and read a book, play some sand volleyball with friends, try your hand at a surfing class, or hike the trails in your favorite hiking outfit. The sky’s the limit, and there’s something for everyone!
