3 Looks: What to Wear on a Date This Fall
Post by Wantable Staff | October 24, 2018
With Fall in full swing, it’s easy to get a bit nostalgic about the warm and sunny days of Summer. After all, breezy nights and carefree attitudes lend the perfect atmosphere for romance. But just because Summer has ended doesn’t mean your date nights need to come to a halt. In fact, the crisper, cooler days of fall can make for some pretty romantic evenings with your special someone (snuggling by the fire, anyone?) That means you may need a few new outfits to wear for all your fall dates. From low-key evenings to a night out, we’ve got you covered with all your Fall date outfits, whether it’s your first date or your 50th.
Netflix & Chill
Yes, binging the newest true-crime docuseries definitely counts as a date. For a relaxed night in, slip into a pair of stretchy denim for legging-like comfort and toss on a buttery-soft plaid. Whether you’re going out for a bite or ordering in, these pieces provide a great foundation to work off of. If you need to step out of the house (ugh, do we have to), keep it simple by adding a blanket scarf and slip-on sneakers.
Dinner & A Movie
A classic date deserves an equally classic fall look. Pair a lace top with your favorite pair of skinny jeans, add some sleek booties, and you’re ready to hit the town. Movie theatres seem to always be over-the-top freezing, so bring a leather moto jacket to give you that extra bit of edge. It looks effortless draped over your shoulders and is perfect to throw on at showtime.
Outdoor Adventures
Going apple picking, checking out a street fair, or hitting up an open-air concert are all great date ideas, but fluctuating temps and unpredictable weather can make it difficult to decide what to wear. Layering is key, so start with a basic long-sleeve sweater, add a printed scarf, and finish the look with a lightweight jacket. Round out your ensemble with relaxed denim and outdoor-friendly shoes.
