Comfortable Thanksgiving Outfits
Despite the joys of reconnecting with family and over-eating to your heart’s content, an inevitable dilemma exists: what am I going to wear?! Between making sure you don’t burn your potluck contribution and avoiding relentlessly nosey relatives, the holidays are stressful enough.
The last thing you want to worry about is what you’re going to wear. I’ve got a few cute and totally comfortable Thanksgiving outfits cookin’ (pun intended), and I’m excited to share them with you!
1. Sweater Pants
Wearing sweater pants is one of my favorite ways to incorporate a cozy statement piece into an outfit. (Plus they’re so comfy and roomy, which you can thank me for after your second serving of pie!) Pair them with a basic neutral top for an effortless vibe or with a fun graphic tee to jazz things up.
2. A Festive Tee
Depending on where your Thanksgiving dinner is, you may opt to skew extra comfy. Think your favorite leggings and a festive tee. It looks and feels timely without compromising on comfort.
3. Classic Plaid Cardigan
Some of our favorite cute fall outfit ideas incorporate for plaid! You simply can’t go wrong with a cozy fall cardigan. Pair it with a graphic tee or cropped tank. This is the best comfortable Thanksgiving outfit for curling up on the couch, catching up with family members, and watching football (or, at least, pretending to).
4. A Versatile Jumpsuit
Jumpsuits are the ultimate comfortable Thanksgiving outfit. Wear one and you will be drawing all sorts of compliments from the family. And, it’s a one-and-done piece that takes away the stress of trying to coordinate a head-to-toe ensemble. Simply layer with a jacket, some fun accessories, and voilà – instant Thanksgiving outfit.
5. Elevated Denim
Trade in your classic jeans for a pair of elevated denim. Whether its embroidery, a playful hem, or bold distressing, focus on what stands out and draw attention to the detailing (not the cranberry sauce stain that may or may not be on your thigh) and finish your look with one of your favorite cozy fall sweaters.
I hope these comfortable Thanksgiving outfit ideas help you cross one thing off of your checklist. After all, Thanksgiving is a time to reflect with gratitude and enjoy the company of loved ones. Don’t let the fuss of what to wear distract you from what’s important. We want to help you be present during the holidays by feeling comfortable and confident in whatever outfit you choose.
