This December, the MAGIC team at Wantable helped bring holiday magic to the students of Alexandria Mitchel Integrated School of the Arts in our hometown of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

In partnership with The Daisie Foundation, Wantable provided over 600 students and 75 teachers with holiday gifts during a surprise school assembly on Friday, December 17th.

On the day of the event, Santa and Mrs. Clause took over the stage at the school’s holiday assembly. They brought bags filled with presents and were joined by none other than the famous Milwaukee Brewers Racing Sausages. No one besides the principal knew about the surprises in store.

“The day was filled with so much joy, laughter and excitement,” said Lindsey Birdsall, Director of Marketing at Wantable who helped plan and coordinate the event.

“Sometimes it’s the littlest things that make the biggest difference,” said Tiffany Cooley, Chief Marketing and Customer Officer at Wantable. “The holidays can be the most wonderful time of the year, but they can also be stressful and hard. Wantable is humbled and grateful for the opportunity to spread holiday cheer by giving back to teachers and students who need it the most.”

Leading up to the big surprise, Wantable team members put their wrapping skills to work, gathering in the Wantable Cafe to wrap over 600 gifts. They also packed Wantable boxes for over 75 teachers and staff. The boxes included Wantable clothing, Panacea necklaces, beanie hats, MukLuk slipper socks, grateful tote bags.

Other Milwaukee-area businesses and organizations including Meijer, the Brewers Foundation, Ian’s Pizza and Lifeway Kefir joined arms with The Daise Foundation and Wantable to make this holiday outreach as magical as can be for the students and staff of Alexandria Mitchel Integrated School of the Arts.

As holiday magic was unfolding at this Milwaukee school, similar events organized by The Daisie Foundation were taking place for deserving schools and first responders in Chicago and Houston.

“Despite the challenges with the pandemic, we feel even more empowered to spread kindness and be a light in the community, especially during a time that’s supposed to be joyful,” – Julie Hightower, Daisie Foundation Board Member. “We thank Wantable for playing such a beautiful role in spreading the holiday joy this year!”
