October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and here at Wantable breast cancer awareness is a cause that is close to our hearts.

We are grateful to partner with ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, a national breast cancer organization that provides free, customized, one-to-one emotional support to empower anyone impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis such as patients, families and friends.

With the guidance of ABCD, we’ve included inserts in each of our Sleep & Body Edits this month to share details about the services that ABCD provides and educate women on the importance of mammograms.

Mammograms can save your life. If you are over the age of 40, it’s strongly recommended that you have annual mammograms. If you are under the age of 40 but have a family history of breast cancer, speak with your physician about how to be proactive about breast cancer prevention and detection.

“Our goal is fuel self confidence for breast cancer survivors and encourage all our Sleep & Body Edit customers to take/stay up-to-date on their mammograms!” said Wantable Content Director, Samm Dowell, who spearheaded the partnership with ABCD.

We’re also very humbled to have the opportunity to uplift and style it forward with Wantable wardrobe makeovers for five women who are ABCD volunteers and breast cancer survivors.

“What a wonderful surprise for these women who offer the gifts of hope, understanding, guidance and so much more to breast cancer patients and caregivers that they support,” said Ellen Friebert Schupper, Executive Director at ABCD.
